Shhhh! This is a surprise gift for my niece when I come and visit in April, which is why it's not on FehrTrade.com yet!
Pattern Description:
This is a basic teeshirt with short sleeves, but with an added, curved front chest seam, and in the upper back, a double layer with a tied upper layer.
Pattern Sizing:
(heights in centimeters) 104-164. My niece is 10, and having made a tunic for her at Christmas, I know 164 should fit her if I lengthen the bodice (as she's tall and thin).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! I'm absolutely thrilled with the look of the tech drawing, and the front looks like the magazine photos. Strangely, for something with so much back interest, there are no maagzine photos of the back.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I glanced at them, but I really came up with my own order of construction, which I jotted down myself (I'll post these when I write about it on FehrTrade.com). In general though, My/Young Image directions are sparse, and occasionally have "interesting" English translations, but this is a pretty easy teeshirt to construct anyway.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the tie at the back, and that it leaves a cute little hole! It also provides a great opportunity for colourblocking, too!
I actually loved this design so much that I altered my own knit sloper to recreate this design for a running top for me! Yes, a kids design that an adult wants to wear!!
Fabric Used:
I love using up scraps from my stash - here I used a viscose lyrca jersey in an "orange sherbert" colour on the bottom, and a fuchsia cotton interlock for the top and sleeves.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only change I made was to lengthen the body a bit since my mom always tells me how tall and thin she is.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I'd sew it again AND recommend it... even for adults!
Conclusion:
It's a great design, perfect for summer weather and for using up scraps of knit fabrics!

This is such a fantastic top! What a sweet auntie to make a top for your niece. You're so right, I would love to wear this top, too, and I'm over 30 :) I'd love to see a running shirt with the back bodice element in it. I'm starting to do some running gear myself because I'm over the high cost of buying it and still having it not fit quite right.

Really cute! If my daughter would be anywhere near the smallest size for this any time soon, I'd order this magazine in a heartbeat, just for this.
