Pattern Description: Burda " An item to relax in. This dress in lightweight sweatshirt fabric is cut for comfort and is charmingly casual. Features such as tits wide neckline with satin edging and drawcord, and its cute raglan sleeves, make it something special"
This is an A-line raglan knit dress, without shaping. It has partial sleeves with armscye binding, and an inserted woven neckline piece gathered with a self fabric drawstring. There are in seam pockets. Version 109 is tunic length, has long sleeves and is gathered at hip level.

Pattern Sizing:36-42. I made a 36 for my daughter.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, although I used my overlocker to finish seams and a coverstitch for hems and topstitching.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, quite good for Burda.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wanted to try the unusual fabric combination and neckline, and it turned out well. I like the nice detail of satin binding the armscye.
I don't find the unshaped a-line very flattering, but it is designed as a loungewear dress, so it is reasonable to have no shaping.

Fabric Used: Cotton lycra -heavy t shirt weight, and a light silk-satin.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Fitting: I added waist shaping at the side seams
Design: I made the tunic length, but no hip gathering. My daughter wants to wear this over leggings. I made rouleaux tubes instead of the flat tie, as I felt this looked a bit clumsy in the magazine photo. I did not put in the pockets, as it is now tunic length.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? It is quite distinctive, but if my daughter finds she wears it a lot, I might make another one.

Conclusion: An easy pattern with some nice details, makes a comfortable garment.

There are photographs of this garment being worn at this post on my blog.
