Pattern Description:
MISSES' TOP: Semi-fitted tops A, B, C, D have neckband, princess seams, shaped hemline flounce and long sleeves, topstitching and raw edge hem finish. A, B: front exposed zipper, self-lined sleeves and layered flounce. A: contrast neckband, sleeves and flounce are cut on crosswise grain. B: contrast neckband, sleeves and flounce, sleeves are cut on crosswise grain. C: contrast neckband, sleeves and flounce, neckband is pieced. C, D: pullover.
Pattern Sizing: 6-22
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, although I made some changes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very good instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a top that has a very flattering fit through the torso. This is my 3rd top using this pattern.
Fabric Used: A poly/lycra knit from Mood Fabrics
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added 4 inches to the length, raised the front neckline an inch, added a cowl collar, and lengthened the sleeves. I eliminated the "ruffles" on the bottom.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? OH, yes...the fit of this top is very flattering! I highly recommend it!
Conclusion: This is my "go-to" for a long top or tunic. It lends itself to many changes.

Beautiful. I love your work and the print too. Is the cowl you added a rectangular piece and is it the same length as the neckline or a bit shorter? I would like to make this change too. Thanks.

kangafrog, the cowl is indeed a rectangular piece, and I just measured the neckline and cut it the same length.

I like the cowl and the omission of the ruffle which hangs way too long. This version looks great.

Glad to see your review - have pattern but not used yet - I hope the torso fit hides little bulges? I so need that. Your top is beautiful and will go with all the pants you made
