| Pattern Description:
I love this pattern!!! The poodle skirt is perfect, but what really makes it fabulous is the shirt!
Pattern Sizing:
I made a size 6 for my 6 year old. It fits her perfectly.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. Exactly the same.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I thought they were. It took me a little while to figure out the collar, but I've never sewn one like that before, so that's kind of to be expected. And I remember thinking I was going to mess it up, but I just followed the instructions exactly and it turned out perfectly the first time.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The shirt kind of makes the outfit for me.
Fabric Used:
Shirting fabric for the shirt, and a twill for the skirt. I need to make a flouncy slip to poof it out a bit. I definitely recommend using a fabric other than felt for the skirt. It will last longer and be washable. Felt is awful for kids' stuff, because it looks destroyed within a week. (I made two poodle skirts before with felt and trust me, I never will again.)

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes! I would love to have a reason to. I love poodle skirts. In fact my Mom made me one when I was twelve because my older sister was in Bye, Bye Birdie, and she had to make her one. I wore it at home every once in a while all through high school. Ha. Ha. I love twirly skirts!
Conclusion:
This is a great pattern. I would just suggest:
1. Never use felt! Use twill instead.
2. Make the shirt!!! It's so adorable! And not that hard really.
3. Narrow hem the skirt by sewing 1/8" away from the bottom, then iron that up on the sewing line. Then fold it over, iron again, and then sew. It makes it really easy to finish when not using felt. So really, this is repeat #1--don't use felt, you can hem it easily!
