Pattern Description:
Knit tube skirt with cased elastic waist and drawstring.
Pattern Sizing:
34-42. I made the 34.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Well, it's hard to tell in the model photo because she is lying on the grass but I don't know how it can look much different than mine. It looks very similar to the line drawing.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Ummm, yea . . . . I'm embarrassed to say that I used a pattern for this. I saw it in in my copies of the Burda magazines and thought, "Wow, perfect, easy style for my cruise!" When I looked at the pattern, they given you measurements for a rectangle and a length for elastic. So, yes, it's easy. You cut a rectangle, sew the CB seam, and add elastic to the waist. Done.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the length. You can't tell so much in my photos because I got a little crazy. The waist finishes at the natural waist which I don't love (I don't like most things at my natural waist) and I should have cut the elastic to fit my hips instead. It's a perfect for my relaxing cruise we have planned in a few weeks. Pull it on and go!
Fabric Used:
I used remanants of two fabrics; this leopard print, one-shouldered gig and the other was a Jalie dress.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I left off the grommets and drawstring. Mine just has the elastic waist.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
If you want a knit tube skirt and can't figure it out on your own, then yes, use the measurements. It fits well and I didn't even have to scratch my head about how to figure out my measurements.

Can you tell I've been playing the Shutter Priority settings on my camera? I didn't even take any serious photots. Oops!!!

Love your skirts! You are on the ball with the Burda Challenge. I still haven't finished my January item although I have traced off lots of things from the magazine to sew.
