Pattern Description:
Misses dress with sleeve and bodice variations including flattering drape and ruffle detail. Pattern Sizing:
8-18 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
No...this was a frankenpattern which involved using the peplum from Vogue 8815 to create a peplum dress look. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's a great basic sheath dress with so many variations. I didn't dislike anything in particular. Fabric Used:
A jade green ponte knit. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Added in a peplum from Vogue 8815. Lengthened and pegged the skirt. Installed an invisible zipper. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Maybe? Who knows..this is such a great classic dress. It's my second time making it. Yes, I would recommend it. Conclusion:
My first attempt at frankenpatterning...came out well, got an on trend dress which is a great fit. More pics on my blog.
