Pattern Description:
Burda say: "This top has a beautifully draped peplum that makes a great impression and trims your waist. Pair it over a matching skirt for a dress look, or for a casual look wear with a pair of leggings."
I say "Fitted top with curved waistline and sloped bias peplum. Cap sleeves and back zipper."
Pattern Sizing:
34-42, I made a 42 with my usual swayback adjustment.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes they are okay. If you want to line the top (I didn't), Melissa from FehrTrade has posted excellent instructions
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Well, peplums are on trend, and this one is just a little bit different with its curved waistline and sloped hem.
Fabric Used:
A jacquard polyester cotton blend
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added an exposed black zip to the back and didn't line the sleeves. I used a poly satin bias strip to finish the sleeve hems, armholes and the peplum hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. There is also a top version with long sleeves (good for winter, just around the corner for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere!) and a dress version.
