Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
This dress is a slightly modified version of the BurdaStyle 120 Seamed dress. I have made a couple of these dresses so each time I make it I tweak something else. For this dress I have combined the top sections together, removed the top pleat so the lace would sit flat. The sleeves are from this pattern. The skirt it just a much wider version of the skirt where I have then added some pleats. I have also on other occasions added some pockets which fit perfectly.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The BurdaStyle instructions are getting better, however since I have modified this dress I knew what I needed to create and didn't require the pattern instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love this pattern I am becoming really obsessed with making this dress as I hope to use it for my bridesmaids dresses. Everything about this pattern is fantastic its a really good start to make some beautiful versions which I have made many of now! Its pretty easy to modify and come up with your own designs!
Fabric Used:
This is a heavier cotton twill I think? The closest fabric I could find to a denim that matched the colour I was after.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have made so many versions of this dress I love it death! I am so happy I found this dress. I will also post up soon a version I did with two front pleats instead of one and it turned out really nice too!
Such an awesome dress! I sooooo want one!
