Pattern Description: A cropped, unlined jacket and a pleated skirt. I made only the jacket (so far!)

Pattern Sizing: 36-46. I made my jacket in a straight size 40.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow? They are very minimal and do not hold your hand at all. You need some sewing experience to know when to finish seams and how to set sleeves. Not a problem, really. The directions are translated from Dutch to several languages- English, French and German.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Initially I was drawn to the neckline, piecing and top stitching. I love how well the pattern is drafted. All through the process I was doubting both myself and the pattern drafting... I was just nervous that all of those pieces would not fit together... and holy cow, they fit exactly perfect! Amazing!

Fabric Used: Medium weight white denim with spandex.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made zero alterations. I did go down one size from a 42 to a 40 from the pattern's recommendations because my denim is particularly stretchy with all the spandex. If I had a completely stable fabric I would stay with the 42.

I used a pretty yellow biding tape one the inside of the sleeves and a lavender lace hem tape for the back hem. I made sure to serger all my seams and raw edges on the inside.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I might if it were for another season (this one is great for spring.) I do recommend this pattern. To be honest, this jacket was way easier to sew then I thought it's be... due to the fact that it's so precisely drafted. If you are at least an intermediate beginner (the directions are minimal), you will have great success.

Conclusion: I really am happy with this jacket. I see a few little issues with fit where the sleeve and bodice meet, but I'm not trying to win the blue ribbon at the state fair here (if this were a RTW jacket, I'd be thrilled with the fit and not even notice these issues.) Image Wear/My Image is my favorite pattern company right now... I'm smitten with their designs and the well-drafted patterns. See more photos and what not on my blog.

I am a fan of the My Image mags. They are cost effective and the drafting is excellent. Very cute way to use up a small piece of fancy fabric and perfect for a sleeveless dress.
