Pattern Description:
Jacket with a stand up collar.
Pattern Sizing:
34-48 (european sizes)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes well I did use a 4 cm stitching around the edges, the pattern said 0,5 cm. I did that to make it look more like the photo.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were worse than bad. I can usually figure it out on my own but this I had to take to the store where I bought it and ask for help. If you haven't made a jacket before, you should have someone help you.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like that it's fitted around the waist. The sleeves are a bit wide though, and I hate doing alterations so I just let them be.
Fabric Used:
Cotton baby velvet (?) sorry not sure what you call it in english :-s
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The pattern says to use a 0,5 cm stitching around the edges but I used 4 cm and secured the inside of the neck band by stitching in the groove on the outside of the jacket. Then blended that with the stitching around the collar and the edges (4 cm) so it looked like I started sewing around the edge beginning from the groove in the neckband. (This is really hard to explain in english, I hope you can follow!)
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might sew it again in a heavier fabric (this one would be for use in the summer or spring). I think it might look good with a lining too. Shouldn't be too difficult to make. However I think the fit around my shoulders is a bit big, and that might keep me from making it again. I rarely sew anything twice..
Conclusion:
All in all a great pattern if you can sew without instructions or have someone help you. I must admit that I'm not super impressed but that could be caused by my (lack of) sewing skills.

All in all though, I do believe good patterns don't leave you to figure it out on your own - thanks for the great review! 3/17/13 11:12 AM

Thanks everyone :) it's so nice when others like your review right ;) Clareew: my daughter slept for three hours on the dayI wrote the review so I finished my jacket and couldn't think of what else to do so I wrote this review! Strange coincidences... :) I wore this to work yesterday and I must admit I like this jacket more and more. I was even thinking of sewing it again - this time without the mistakes around the collar. 3/19/13 5:58 PM

It might be a garment that grows on you the longer you have it in your closet. Based on your review I'm planning to buy it! I love the modern fit you've achieved. 4/16/13 1:47 PM
