Very innovative idea your skirt looks great! Another option to using two threads for topstitching, is using the triple straight stitch. Works quite well for denim and hemming jeans, too.

Your Skirt looks great, I can see how you made a mistake thinking that it was denim as it is very similar in colour.

I like the idea of the jeans pattern turned to skirt. Glad you solved the problem of the extra fabric in the seam.

Great skirt! It's flattering and looks beautifully constructed. That was a good idea, to use a pants pattern to get the jeans details you wanted.
