|Pattern Description: |
A car trash bag that hangs over the seat for my husband's car, similar to one I made before.
Previous Car Trash Bag
I used navy cotton duck on the outside, and some circuit fabric for the lining. Since it wasn't waterproofed, I tore apart a vinyl bag that once held a sheet set and sewed that to the lining before putting the bag together to act as waterproofing! (No, I'm not counting the bag as yardage.)
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Well, I've done it twice, so I guess I would.
I do like this project as a quick way to use up fabric. I also like the elastic because it's never bothered me or gotten caught on anything (like Velcro might!) and it's easy to remove and it doesn't have any plastic latches/sliders to break!
I am annoyed that the top is not perfectly even, but my husband certainly doesn't care and I'm not going to rip out stitching from vinyl!
(This used up 1/2 yard of fabric.)
