|Pattern Description: |
A lunch bag for my husband.
Big Man Lunch sized! The proportions are silly, I am only now realizing, but my husband rides the subway to work and hates it when bag flop open. I also wanted to make sure it stayed closed, so I added an elastic loop and a button. Do you know how hard it is to find a large plain button that doesn't look too plasticky?
I used navy cotton duck on the outside (after a messenger bag, a car trash bag, and a lunch bag, I STILL have some left...) and neon green circuit-patterned quilting cotton on the inside (after a messenger bag, a car trash bag, and a lunch bag, I STILL have some left...). I added paprika-colored webbing for a handle, and made a loop of elastic and sewed on a large button for a closure.
I only realized after the fact that I probably should have interfaced this!
This knocked out 3/4 yards of fabric.
Does it look homemade? Yeah, but it fits the Ms or Mr Bento and it's cooler looking than the grey carriers they come with.
