|Pattern Description: "Loose-fitting, pullover tops have back neckline variations, narrow hem, and optional purchased bias tape to finish neckline and armholes. A: pocket. A and B: bias back. C and D: back longer than front. A, C and D: wrong side shows." This is view D.|
Pattern Sizing: XS - XXL. I cut an XS and graded to a S at the hips.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the loose flowy fit of this pattern. Also wanted to try the hi - low hem trend, so it's the perfect pattern for the summer.
Fabric Used: red floral rayon challis for the front bodice and a white floral stretch mesh for the back bodice. I would have used only the rayon, but didn't have enough fabric, so decided to go for the mixed fabrics look.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: There is a bit of a gape at the back neckline. This is something I usually account for in closer fitting patterns, but I thought it wouldn't matter much in the looser fit. However, the back neckline pleats weigh down a bit, increasing the gape. I tried to tack it in place, but in the end, I decided to just wear the shirt with the shoulder seams pulled forward a bit.
Notes: Bias tape finish on neckline and armhole. I have to work on sewing a flatter bias tape. Grainline Studio has a great tutorial I should try.
