|Pattern Description: The Parsley Pants pattern is a basic pant made with just one pattern piece, making them so ridiculously easy and quick to sew! The basic version features an elastic waistband, but even the extras (flat front, pintucks, pouch pockets, box pleat pockets, kneepads and the tuxedo stripe) take very little time to add. You’ll be amazed at how quickly these come together!|
Pattern Sizing: kids’ sizes 2-10
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, these look very similar
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the instructions were excellent. They had a basic 1 page overview of the process, and then more in depth instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? One main pattern piece!! They are easily customisable with pockets, pintucks ... a great basic pattern.
Fabric Used: The first pair I made to test the pattern was a lightweight pinwale cord with green/oatmeal check.
The second and third pair are both a cotton drill, underlined with cotton flannelette for extra warmth.
Parsley Pants x3
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Because my son is very slim, I made a two sizes down with added length, so in this case a size three with about 3" added.
I underlined with cotton flannel at my son's request, because he wanted warm pants.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I will definitely sew these up again, as finding store bought pants that fit seems to be impossible.
I would definitely recommend.
Conclusion: Just like it says in the description, a great basic pant that is easy to customise, either by fabric choice or included sewn details.
