Pattern Description: This is a special dress with loads of versatility to feature your favorite child and treasured fabrics. The Goodship Dress is an easy-fitting A-line knee-length dress, designed with a with a contrast pleat, an adorable sailor collar, and an option of bow or tab closure.
Pattern Sizing: sizes 2-12 I made 3 and all seemed to fit well. I did go up a size in length for 2 of the girls based on their shoulder to knee measurements.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, I'm a bit wary of pdfs made by random bloggers but this one is well done and well explained.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Love the style, the pockets, and size bracket. I don't love the 3/8in seam allowances for french seaming.
Fabric Used:quilters cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I used bias tape instead of cutting bias binding. I added length on two and tapered to wider hips for 1 just to be sure it hung correctly. I also sewed to collar a bit differently then directed so I could add ric rac.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I'm sure I will to both.
Conclusion: This is a well done and unique pdf pattern. I have a few more pictures and details on my blog. Click Here
