Pattern Sizing: This is where Jalie differs from other pattern companies. With the smallest size starting from 2T you can sew for the whole family from this one pattern!
With the number of sleeveless dressed I've been making for my toddler, I needed to make or knit shrugs for her so we can stretch out the season a little bit more. Hey, they're handmade dresses, I want her to wear them for as long as she can.
So... I came across this pin On Pinterest. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? No, because I changed it.
Were the instructions easy to follow? A basic t-shirt is one of the simplest things you can make and if it fits you, you can create a whole wardrobe with this one pattern. I followed the instructions from the blog and it came out perfect.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? No dislikes. This is a GREAT pattern. I hope Jalie never discontinues it. I am planning to make a few for myself too.
Fabric Used: Rayon blend Ponte Knit from Joann Fabrics. This was left over from my Burda Dress.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: See above. I chopped off the bodice to make it into a shrug length and rounded off the corners. I also split the front into two and added seam allowances. Everything else was as is.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Oh absolutely. She needs these in all sorts of colors. I am looking for a beefy sweater knit too. If anyone has any suggestions on where to find it, please let me know.
