The charming Jamie dress is universally appealing and perfect for all occasions. It makes for a pretty cocktail dress paired with heels, or slide on the flip-flops and head for the beach sundress style. We love it for it’s style and comfort, and with Sis Boom’s endless fabric selection you can get the most incredible looks. It complements the female figure sporting a flattering waist and and beautiful neckline. The full, flowing skirt is definitely a throwback to the best of 1960′s fashion.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the fit and the easy directions. I only print the pattern size I need and read the directions from my laptop. The sizes are separated so that makes taping and cutting even faster.
Fabric Used: Cotton from Joann's. It has a great drape to it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added pockets using the pattern and directions from Sis boom Angie dress. I also made the skirt less full to have enough fabric to have pockets. Really wanted those pockets The skirt is still pretty full so it worked out perfect for me.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I will sew it again and highly recommend it to others. It is a style that flatters all body types. Sisboom has a sewing group on Facebook and this dress was the pattern we used for a sew along. There is an album in the group with lots of beautiful Jamie's and Marissa's (the child version). This is my second dress I have made for myself and am ready to try another Sis boom pattern for me.
