Made size 3 using satin for the underlay and tulle for the overlay. I had never worked with tulle before, and received a very helpful hint regarding gathering tulle. Holding a piece of thin string or a slightly thicker cotton thread parallel to the upper edge along the seamline, zig-zag over the thread. Then you can pull on the thread in order to gather. Worked great! Regarding the pattern: not a difficult pattern - an advanced beginner can probably handle it. However, I didn't care for the amount of fabric that the pattern suggests you cut for the overlay. Next time I make it I intend to try using half the amount (just personal preference). Also, because the tulle cannot be seamed at the side, the pattern tells you to overlap the side 1/2". I didn't feel it was enough, and I overlapped it 1". Still not enough. The sides still open up when wearing. Next time I'll try 2". Other than that, it's a nice pattern and I'd recommend it.
