Pattern Description: A classic vintage inspired sheath dress with fabric covered belt.
Pattern Sizing:I used the size 4 and graded to a size 2 in the shoulders.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, very much.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the instructions were fantastic.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked the new techniques suggested and the neckline. I disliked the fit in the shoulders, it was pretty but difficult to keep in place with out fashion tape.
Fabric Used: Silk duchess satin
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:The bodice darts did not line up with the skirt. I altered the back skirt darts to one dart to line up with the bodice which has only one dart. I had to adjust the skirt darts on the front to line up with the darts on the front bodice.
Would you sew it again? Yes but I would change the shoulders slightly to fit better. Would you recommend it to others?Yes
Conclusion: The dress turned out lovely and I will wear it again. The only complaint I have is in the shoulder design. Perhaps if my shoulders were not so narrow this dress would fit better in this area and stay on easier. See more Click Here
