Pattern Description: Front-zip top with hood, bell-shape banded sleeves, raw-edge front with finished hem band at side and back. Wrong side of fabric will show on hood. Wide-leg, above ankle pants with side pockets, elastic waistband, stitched hems. They call it a "top", but I think of it as a jacket.
Pattern Sizing: Misses XS-XXL. I made a medium
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? yes. I just had to keep in mind to make sure my serger thread matched perfectly as my seams will be showing on the hood in the back. ( I tend to forget that sometimes.)
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's a different looking hoodie. The hood is very generous and is comfortable to wear. I like hoods some times when it's windy to keep my ears covered.
Fabric Used: It is a really nice ponte knit. I bought this pattern and fabric as a kit from Sewing Workshop which also included the zip
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: no changes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm already eyeing my stash and thinking of making it in a black ponte or I do have a nice striped ponte I could use
Conclusion: Cute jacket with an interesting forward side seam. The front edge is not finished but I stitched along the bottom to stabilize it .
