This bra along with my review of Kwik Sew 2467 - Camisole and Panties are my entry into the 2013 Lingerie Contest.

I have reviewed this pattern before, Link to previous review, so some of the information might be the same.

Pattern Description: Designed for Nylon tricot or lace & nylon sheer and Power Net.

Bra cups can be made from Nylon tricot or lace and Nylon sheer. Bra band is from Power Net. Bra has elastic at all outside edges and adjustable shoulder straps made from Nylon tricot.

Pattern Sizing:32 - 40, AA - DDD

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?It looks so much better sewn up in real life than the envelope drawing, which is quite sad (and utilitarian.) The style matches my favorite Wacoal bra, which is why I chose to use this pattern.

Were the instructions easy to follow?I think Kwik Sew instructions are quite clear. But I have sewn bras before and understand the construction sequence. It's easy to do once you know, for the most part.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? What I like is that this pattern fit right from the start with barely any alterations. I sewed up my standard bra size for the muslin, a 34D, and just had to do little changes.

Fabric Used:The fabric was from a lingerie/tricot grab bag I bought years ago. I had enough yardage to also make panties and a camisole. The laces and elastics were from grab bags or stuff I've purchased in the past. I haven't done any bra sewing in 3 years, so it was fun to go through my goodies.

This was the first time I sewed on top of tissue paper, and it made so much difference at the start of seams. The fabric didn't get sucked into the machine. Love it!

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I had to make the cup the littlest bit bigger, I added 1/4" to the apex in the lower cup, and spread the top cup to match. I also took out the center front seam and shortened the area under the cups so the elastic won't roll.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This pattern is OOP, but I do recommend it. The thing with bras is, they don't fit all breasts. There is some trial and error until you sew one that fits, and then the next one might fit different again, due to fabrics and elastics. It's a lot of fun though.

Conclusion: If you haven't sewn a bra before and think it's something you might like to do, go for it. There are lots of different patterns, the fabrics are fun, it's not always easy, but it's a great learning experience.

Annette, It's so beautiful. I have such respect for people who can fit and sew a bra, and you have done it again. This is another great review. I would like to tackle a bra, because the Wacoal's (which I like and wear also) are expensive and sometimes difficult to find. It is encouraging that this pattern almost fit you from the git go, and breasts are different, as you observed, even in the same size. Great job!

Very pretty. I buy Wacoal bras as well, they fit so well, and cost a fortune. You have inspired me...
