Pattern Description: This is Burda's pattern 7230, copyrighted 2012. It's for young men's & women's lounge/sleep pants. "A" & "B" are for women. "C" & "D" are for men. All have front yoke pockets. A: Ankle-length with wide contrasting waistband and drawstring leg openings. B: Cropped with self-fabric waistband & leg bands. C: Ankle-length with drawstring waistband. D: Cropped with drawstring waistband. I made the pants "D."
Pattern Sizing: The pattern comes in women's sizes 6-20, and men's chest sizes 34-48. I made size 48.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? they were the same style but different fabric.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were wonderfully easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that it makes a handsome pair of pants, and that they feel & fit great. I have no actual dislikes.
Fabric Used: Licensed Detroit Tigers fleece, the reason being is that I liked the fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I omitted the drawstring & buttonholes, and substituted one row of 1 1/2" elastic for two rows of 5/8" elastic.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I plan to make another pair of pants from the pattern. Yes, I'd recommend it to others.
Conclusion: The pants were great fun to make. The pattern's a keeper.
