Pattern Description:
The Yasmin skirt is a slightly A lined shape with a Yoked waistband, comes in two lengths and has curved pockets.
Pattern Sizing:
34"-44"
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes it did
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Great informative instructions, lots of colour photographs to illustrate. Good for the 'visual'dressmaker.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Love the fact it fits almost perfectly straight off the pattern sheets.
Fabric Used:
The fabric is a Royal Blue 8 whale corduroy. I added a lining - just some regular stuff I had in the stash and lined the yoke with some nice cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I started with size 42 at the waist grading to 44 at the hips and made it the longer length. I took it in a further 1/4" or 1 cm at the waist when I had the shell ready for fitting on.I trimmed 1 " from the bottom of the skirt and turned up a 11/2" hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I will sew it again and would definitely recommend to others.
Conclusion:
This skirt took around 3 days of 1 hour increments to make, its great to have TNT patterns like this for instant gratification. This skirt can be worn dressed up or down.
