Fabric:Polyester Woven  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description:
A loose fitting collared shirt with two options for the back. I selected the plain, non-gathered back.
Pattern Sizing:
The pattern sizing runs true to size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Exceptionally. I also highly recommend referring to the sew-a-long on Grainline's website for sewing the collar stand and sleeve plackets. I found the videos much easier to understand.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really like everything about the pattern. I'm not sure that I am convinced about the sleeve placket method. But that is easy enough to change going forward.
Fabric Used:
A silky polyester blend. Mystery fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I shortened the sleeves a lot (I'm petite). I also used French seams throughout, including the sleeve caps. It looks pretty on the inside.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely. I already have my next version planned!
Conclusion:
A great pattern - I hope that you will try it. It is definitely my new shirt pattern - I can see using it for many variations. I'm thinking about omitting the collar for my next make.

Very nice. I am impressed by your french seams! Esp. the sleeves! Finished my first one tonight but too many mistakes! I'm glad I'm not the only one although I suspect that my initial attempts may be worse than yours!
