Basically "screen" is what we put in our house windows to keep the bugs out when the windows are open. Lines going up and down, woven together, flexible, but you can still see through it. The word is also used for other "mesh" items is case it's the same criss-cross woven, made of plastic "threads". (Look at my review of the other Nancy Ota bags made with white "mesh" also called "screen"). For this purse, the screen looks like "grasscloth". In the US we have wallpaper called "grasscloth" - looks like bamboo or hay woven together. I hope this makes sense...PM me if I'm unclear....I'm searching for words to explain screen....anyone else want to jump in here?

I love the purse/bag! The colour combination is great. What is "screen"?
