Have you bought anything from this store? If yes were the prices competitive?
Oh how I love Vogue! Let me count the ways. My favorite locations are in downtown Chicago and Lansing, IL. I've been to the Evanston store once. I don't think the staff is as friendly. Vogue has some great deals - I've gotten great stuff for $1.95/yard several times. They also carry some high-end fabric that I think is worth the splurge. There are very few times I go to Vogue and don't come out with a lighter wallet. There is always something great in there.
Patterns are full price, so I would never buy them there. There are occasionally sales on thread and other notions.
Were the sales people polite and friendly?
The staff at the downtown and Lansing locations are so nice. I'm not a big fan of the folks in Evanston, but maybe I went on a bad day.
How would you rate the quality of the item this store sells?
Excellent quality!
How was your shopping experience. Is there anything you did not like about this store?
When I go to my favorite locations, I am guaranteed a great time. The Evanston store is the largest, followed by dowtown. The Lansing store is the smallest and is called an outlet, but the prices are the same.
At the Lansing store, the first three swatches are free. Afterwards, they're 25 cents. For some reason, I think they are more downtown, but I could be wrong.
Would you shop here again?
Of course!
Would you recommend this store to others?
I recommend the store often.
Any other comments you would like to add?
Vogue is a Chicago legend for a reason. Quality merchandise and nice sales staff make each trip a joy. The staff is always helpful and patient. If you can't make it to the store, their website is excellent:

You didn't go on a bad day to the Evanston store...they're always like that. I don't know why, but I wish they'd all relax a little and put a smile on their faces! I like Vogue Fabrics a lot, too, but many of their fabrics look dirty to me, like they've been sitting around too long. It's true, though, that they also have some fabulous fabrics at great prices. It's worth the trip to check it out.
