I feel like I'm walking into a toy store whenever I visit my local Joann's (which is *seldom*!). I guess they're the same all over. :c But I'm wondering why you gave them a 'thumbs up'?

You know, it sounds like you are describing the old neighborhood five & dime. A little of everything if you need it in a pinch. I moved to a more dense population of sewers and discovered a section here labeled Apparal Fabrics. Imagine- the entire store is dedicated to selling stuff other than a small row of garment quality fabric- and most of that was types of muslin. That said, the other fabrics are on par with what is used to put together what the discount stores consider clothes.

Ain't it the truth, it's the coupons that get me into that store and of course, the lack of any other choice where you don't have to pay shipping. Glad to have discovered the online fabric stores.
