No. I ordered Sea Island cotton shirting in white at 40.00 per yard. At that price I expected quality shirting fabric. This shirting fabric is poor quality, it may be 2 x 80. Usually shirting at this price is 2 x 140 or at least 2 x 100. The fabric does not come close to sea island cotton shirting at Britex or Acorn Fabric. Farmhouse fabric prices were higher than Acorn or Britex. A side note if you order shirting from Acorn they will send you two large sample books with order. I attempted to try to talk to customer service but would not discuss the quality.

When you say the shirting is 2x80, 2x140, what does that mean? I've never heard of those expressions before nor heard of sea island shirting. TIA

2 ply refers to 2 yarns twisted together. the number 80,100,140 and 170 is the thickness of the yarn. Cheaper shirts eg Walmart 2 x80 high end shirts 2 x 140 Sea island cotton is lightweight almost feels like silk

Have you asked to speak with Sally, the owner? I've purchased a LOT of fabrics from FHF and the quality has always been superb. I'm so sorry for your negative experience.

Wow, I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience. I have purchased from Farmhouse Fabrics many times and everything that I received is as it's described on the website, most of the time, it's even better. I agree with Flying Seamstress, give Sally a call and tell her your concerns and experience. I'm sure you will find that she will do everything she can to help you.
