Whenever I sew knits I like to use Steam-A-Seam 2 (SAS2) in the hems to keep them from stretching out of shape when I stitch the hem. The problem is that you're supposed to press the SAS2 onto the hem, then remove the paper backing and finger press the hem into place before stitching. It seems that the SAS2 never stays in place long enough for you to remove the paper and press the hem in place. I've discovered that you can press the paper backing onto your garment without ruining the garment on the SAS2. I lay the SAS2 in place and lightly press with the iron. The light pressing holds the SAS2 in place. Remove the paper backing turn up and finger press the hem in place. Then press with iron. It works like a charm

Very helpful tip. I've always wondered if you could do that but never tried it. Now I will.
