I was tossing around the idea of weither or not I wanted to spend the $$ to take this class or not. I'm so glad I did! I'm learning all kinds of new stuff! And the stuff i'm learning would have took hours of agrvating practice to figure out on my own.
This class is self guided, so you can go through them at your own pace. (there are about 36 lessons in all) Each topic is a short lesson, so you are not overwhelmed or get topics confused. And each topic is broken up so you can easly find them. (Which makes them easier to find later when you want to review) All lessons have pictures to follow along to.
The class includes topic such as hemming, rings and slides (a good one!), finishing and some basic serger techniques.
If you are at all interested in making some lingerie other than jusy one type of Kwik Sew panty, I would say this this class is certainly a good resource.

I'm so glad you reviewed the class. I am tossing the idea around too and wondering if it would be any better than reading a book. Looks like you answered that question. Did you get the $36 kit? And do you recommend doing so?

mClones, No, I didn't buy the kit. I know what most of the stuff in it is, and I have most of the fabric in my stash. About the only thing I don't have is the silk habutai and the covered button kit, but I figure I can get that at store on my next trip. If you have none of what's in the kit or know what any of it is, I would say get the kit. However, if you have a stash, or if you are comfortable enough to practice on real garments (like I do!) I would say forget the kit and spend the $36 on more fabric!

Thanks for the advice, SexiSadi. I don't know these materials at all so I think I'll get the kit. I'm taking the plunge!
