to make a pressing roll you can use a thick newspaper which must be rolled up tight than cover the newspaper with one layer of cotton fabric ,sew it together on the long site cover the cotton with wool fabric in a singel layer and sew it together on the long site and on both ends.The pressroll which I use is about 12 inch long and has a diameter of 5 inch.
