This class is offered by Sew Amazing, formerly Stretch and Sew, in Bloomington, MN. I was initially unsure of how well I would resolve my fitting problems because the class used an elastic waist pant. I was pleasantly surprised. Laurel (missed the last name) measured us the first night of class and discussed both general pants fitting and specifics for our figures. We went home and made muslins that week. We then refined the fit on the second night of class. I finished the class with a wellm fitted pair of pants, a master pattern and a good beginning knowledge of pants fitting.

We did get fitting tips for non-elastic waist pants. I don't plan on making any elastic waist pants, but per Laurel, will transfer my adjustment to other Kwik Sew pants. The sloper is the same throughout the pattern line and the adjustments should transfer. The class was pretty inexpensive and unfortunately, the only pants fitting class I found in the TCs. PM me if you have any questions

Were there any fitting tips for non-elastic-waist pants? That style looks just horrid on me... but I want to learn how to fit pants and that shop is fairly close to me... Thanks for the review!

I took this class a few years ago and really learned a lot. We had a different teacher and used a variety of patterns so it sounds like they have streamlined it since then. It was helpful to see different fitting problems on the people in class and I came home with a good understanding of my own needs.

We used the master pants pattern from the Kwik Sew Easy Sewing book
