Featured in the PR book!
I was having problems making bias strips. I couldn't seem to get them straight, and my fabric would shift all over the place. What a pain.

So what I did was made a template (or pattern) from heavy interfacing. I made it 1 and 1/2 yards long, by the width wide. Now I can just pin the strip of interfacing to the fabric and cut away. I didn't have any problems with it moving and shifting, so I had a perfect 2 inch wide strip when I was done.

I'll have to try this. I've done the tube thing, but that was unsuccessful. Thanks.

I mark off my strips and put them through the serger (unthread needles)and let the knife and machine do the work.

Sounds like a clever idea. A rotary cutter with a ruler also do a nice job for long straight lines.
