We all have those little hills and valleys in the hip and thigh area. Here's a tip to smooth out the side seam silhouette on pants. Press the side seam allowances open. Cut a 1 inch strip of interfacing that's as long as the area from waist to knee. Fuse this strip to the open side allowance. Press on the outside for a smooth, sleek look.
