I found a great place for sewing techniques, which demonstrate eg zipper insertion, hems, pockets, ruffles etc with little cartoons/movies and tell you which things/notions you'll need. I think it probably has the best tutorial for invisible zippers I've ever seen. It is from Husquarna, and the American link can be found here:
