This was a 3 hour hands on class I took at ETA Dallas. Karen is great teacher and really knows her stuff. She talked about pillows from the inside out. To have a great pillow you need a great form! She discussed materials that were used in pillow forms, trims, bias cording, installing invisible zippers and lots of fun ways to make pillows unique. For a kit fee of $20, we got the materials to make a pillow in class. We ran out of time and didn't get to quite finish but I really learned a lot in this class. There were some problems that weren't Karen's fault, but really slowed the class down. All the machines in the class were on one circuit - made for a lot of frustration and stop and go sewing. No irons in the class so our work didn't look as nice as it could have. There were no instructions as to what to bring to class so none of us had pins and scissors. I should have known better!! All in all I'm really glad I took this class - the few pillows I have made in the past were less than stellar. Her techniques are really simple and the samples (pictures) she showed were beautiful. I would certainly recommend this class. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of three were the classroom glitches. Those were really not Karen's fault and she did a great job under stressful conditions.

I didn't take this class, but I agree with you, Peggy, Karen is a great teacher! The pillow cover that you made in the class looked fantastic!

I took a slipcover class from Karen and learned so much, sounds like the pillow class is good too,
