Featured in the PR book!
I like to keep a tape measure at my cutting table. But I was constantly misplacing it and dropping it on the floor. I like my work area neat, but handy. So I don't like putting it away in a drawer, but I don't like it just laying on the table either. I tried hanging it on a small peg over my table, but it kept falling off onto the floor. So I simply bought a cheap tape measure & used a small nail & attached it to the wall over my cutting table. Now it's handy to use & always in its place & no falling on the floor!

Sewing Maddmess: I just used a standard 60" plastic tape that I picked up at either Joann's or WalMart.

You have inspired me...I am going to get a couple of those thingys that are like phone cords with swivel type hookie things almost like a dog chain on a spiral cord (now how is that for a description?) and attach them on the 60" side of the tape measure by using a hole punch and attach one to the light over my dining room table because that is where I cut out my light just happens to have an open circle awaiting the attachment of my tape measure at the bottom. For those of you who are young...phones used to have cords that teathered us close to the phone!!! There must be something in my sewing room to teather it I need an idea for my scissors and my seam ripper...for my clipping scissors I have used just a ribbon that is about 45 inches long and tied it to the finger hole and used a thumb tack on the underside of my sewing table but at the very moment and several times over the past many years I accidentally cut the ribbon and my scissors is off its lease and loves to run FREE...just like the neighbor's dog!!! The only thing it does not come when I call!!!
