Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous!

The Puyallup expo was wonderful. Great patterns, great vendors, and, wait for this, great fabric. The expo topics and vendors included quilting, fashion sewing, crafts, patterns, notions, and software not to mention equipment vendors.

I did not get to go to any of the seminars as I decided to go at the last minute and the ones I wanted were sold out. I did go to several of the free shows including the Masquerade show sponsored by Bernina, Martha Pullen, Linda MacPhee, and the 4H fashion show which included the winners of the Make It Yourself With Wool winners.

I went through every showroom three times and bought lots of fun stuff including some lovely Thai brocade silk from Vogue Fabrics. I think my carry on baggage weighed close to 25 pounds. My stash now includes some other nice silks, batiks from Batik Butik (thanks to everyone from Patternreview), Pacific Fabrics and Crafts, and

In short, I'm pooped and it was great.

Wow Ginger you clearly had a good time. I am living this expo thru you. But next year I really want to go. This sounds like a lot of fun. Any idea how many people attend it?

No idea about attendance but I will tell you it was very crowded in the vendor areas.

Well, I know this is a late comment, but as I am one of the volunteeers that man this Expo, I can tell you that more than 30,000 people attend, and the number keeps getting larger every year. It really is a great show! Hope you all get to attend in 2004. It's our 20th Anniversary!

I have missed this every year for one lame reason or another, but this time I am GOING. I have my ticket to Ann Bourgeois' workshop on Fair Isle and cannot WAIT to go!
