This was my third consecutive visit to this expo. I love to go to the expo. It is like a vacation to me. I go all four days which includes the "More the day before" class. I love to buy fabric and love to see varieties of fabrics. For the last 3 years, the only major fabric vendors that come are Wool House and Vogue Fabrics. I love Vogue Fabrics, but they need more room to bring more of their fabrics. The expo in Ohio is in March. I would like to see more fabrics for spring and summer, cottons, linens, and knits. I have several sewing machines, my recent purchase being a Bernina. They were not at the expo this year. I was told it was not worth the set-up time and money. I usually take classes from Peggy Sagers. I took a class with Lorraine Henry which was very helpful. I love the serger classes with the Viking 936; the instructor is awesome. I would like to visit other sewing expos and if anyone has any suggestions, please offer them to me.

I just wanted to let you know that there will be a PCM expo just outside of Cincinnatti, Ohio starting on June 28h thru June 30th. It will be held at the Sharonville Convention Center. You can get information at pcmexpo.com. Vogue fabrics will be there. Cynthia Guffy, Barb Callahan, Kathy Ruddy and others will be doing classes. I personally have never been to this expo, but most of the expos are interesting and a lot of fun.

The Atlanta Sewing Expo in March is excellent. I've been three times and use it as my personal vacation like you do. If you have a chance to go, I would highly recommend it. jean

Take advantage of the super cheap airfare on Spirit and come to the American Sewing Expo in Novi, MI September 28-30. Each day we offer approx. 100 classes to choose from each day and about 150 different vendors to shop from. Pre-show workshop are 9am - 5pm Thursday befor the vendor floor opens. In addition, there will be a sewing cafe where you can learn new techniques and take home a completed project, several types of challenges you can enter and many different displays to view. This years there will be a live Project Runway inspired challenge that you can view the contestants progress on both Friday and Saturday. The Season 2, Project Runway winner, Chloe Dao, will be a guest judge and you will have the opportunity to hear her speak by signing up for Coffee with Chloe. Saturday night, the Midwest Ya Ya Sister will give you great sewing gift ideas. Another big name will be Sue Hausmann of America Sews wtih Sue Hausmann. As you can tell, we have a lot to offer. Brochures are available on the web at www.americiansewingexpo.com and registration begins July 24 so sign up early since classes tend to sell out.
