|This quilt show is set in the small, relatively quet town of Sisters, Oregon. For one day a year, it is teeming with people for the quilt show. This year, there were over 1200 quilts displayed. They display quilts outside for one day to give everyone a view of the quilts. There are also quilts in some of the stores (especialy any store dealing with quilting). I spent 5 hours there and didn't begin to see all of them. It was very hot on July 14 so sunscreen and iced water were the items of the day. In addition to viewing the quilts, of course, there are bargains to be had as well. If you would like to see some of the quilts, I have placed an album at http://picasaweb.google.com/fws4ever and you can view them there. The most spectacular quilt was an intricate one that I have designated as outstanding in the album. If you ever have a chance to attend this qult show (always held the second Saturday of July), by all means attend! It is so inspiring!
