Well, yet another pressing piece of information. I could not quite figure out how to press the second seam of a pant leg open. Finally, I took a stiff magazine, wrapped it in a fluffy dish towel and pinned the towel snuggly along the long end. It has worked really well for getting into that tight place. I used Real Simple, but I think you could use a smaller, more tightly rolled magazine to get into really tight spaces like long sleeves. If it helps another beginer, I like sewing and pressing the inseam seam allowance last, as it is shorter and less curved.
