As requested, this pattern was featured in the July/August '05 issue of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting Magazine.
A visual is available @ http://www.friendsofpr.com/spicegr/Cribsheet.jpg
Materials: 2 yds fabric & 1.5 yds - 1/4" elastic.
(1) Cut fabric to measure 42" x 67"
(2) Cut elastic in two equal pieces.
(3) Cut 7" square from each corner
(4) On the long sides of the sheet (side A), place two dots - one @ 12.5" from both short ends (side B) of the sheet & 2nd dot 1/2" from the 12.5" dot - this is the elastic placement guide.
(5) Bring the outside edges together at each corner & stitch 1/4" seam to form a boxed end.
(6) Serge or zigzag to finish the seam allowance.
(7) Press under raw edges - first at 1/4" & then at 1/2" to form casing.
(8) Machine stitch casing, leaving 1/2" spaces between the dots to insert elastic.
(9) Run elastic around the short ends (side B) of the sheet and secure at dots.
(10) Stitch openings closed.

Thanks for taking the time to post this pattern. I like to make my sheets, as the commercial ones shrink so much, don't fit as well, don't hold up as well and just are too expensive. I can buy fabric on sale for 1-2.00/ yd. and with a little elastic...wah-la...a cheap sheet. It always seems like I can't find exactly the directions when I go to make them...now I have it bookmarked. Thanks. Marcia (chip1980)
