if you are ever sewing lofty batting and it gets boggled up in the toes of your presser foot, remove the presser foot and carefully wrap a piece of "scotch tape" around the toe area of your presser foot being very careful to avoid the opening where your needle goes in and out. by doing this, you will create a curving upward sort of ski that will glide nicely over the batting .
