I just came back from the Worcester Quilt Expo that I attented 4/10-4/12. I had an absolutely amazing time and can't wait to attend next year. It was wonderful. The classes were great and very informative. I did take wall to wall classes so, that may be why my review is better than some. My favorite class was with Kim Montagnese. It was a neat quilt block called really, really broken hearts. I learned alot of different techniques in that class and made a friend too!She also has great fabric at the cotton candy quilt shop that has the cutest selection of quality fabrics. I exchanged phone #'s and e-mails with 3 women. There is nothing more inspiring than sewing with a group of women as excited as you! So many sewing machines, embroideries going on, cutting, ironing..it was just great. Also, another teacher I loved was Mickey Depree. I took and applique class with her. She is a real sweetheart and so kind and patient.Deb Karasik is also an excellent teacher and told us how she started just 7 years ago and know teaches and publishes books!I also took a lecture class on factory methods for garment sewers with Peggy Sagers.Boy, in an hour long class, that woman is some wealth of info. I will definitely look for more of her classes next year. She really simplifies garment sewing in ways you could never guess..amazing! She even told me I could call her personally if I had any sewing questions. I can't say enough good things. The people were friendly, the atmosphere and convention site very nice and even though people didn't like the vending, I managed to spend plenty and come home with some neat notions, rulers and rotary cutter. Along with some fabrics, threads, stabilizers, and patterns. I live on Long Island so, it was a trek but, worth every penny.Everyone should give it a try and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge these professionals have. Hey, it motivated me enough to clean up my sewing room..LOL...Elaine

Glad to read you enjoyed it so much--and coming all the way. I thought it was just okay compared to last year but I've never taken classes. And I really shouldn't complain, it only took me 45 minutes to get there!
