Inserting Elastic In a Waistband (Tip/Technique)

I usually use a bodkin to insert elastic in a waistband, but it sometimes slips off the elastic.

Today as I was getting ready to put the elastic in my pants, I noticed an extra large pin in one of my desk drawers. It's the kind like you would use on a wrap skirt. I grabbed it & decided to give it a try. It worked great! This is what I will use from now on.

	Nancy Rhodes said... Hi My Mom always used one of those big plastic headed diaper pins for inserting elastic... Alas, I think diapers pins are obsolete... but worked so well. Sorry I didn't have the foresight to collect a few for keeps 6/1/08 9:48 AM
