Jalie patterns print their instructions in English and in French. The instructions are found usually in the middle of the large paper that includes all the pattern pieces to be traced. I have found that it is easier to take the time up front to copy the instructions for my personal use. It takes a little effort to fold the large sheet and get the pattern on the copy machine so you can get what you want copied but it is so much handier at the machine than the bulky pattern. I make a copy of the written instructions and a copy of the picture section. I keep this with the pattern for the next time.
I also copy the back page with the measurements and fabric requirements. I then highlight the size and fabric I need and take this to the fabric store. It has helped me to quickly see what I need. There is so much information on the page that it is easy to get lost.
With all that said - I love the Jalie patterns and the great range of sizes given. I think they are easy to sew and have great style
