I'm not sure if this has been posted before, if so sorry. When pressing open small seams in difficult places, like for example the curved seam between the outer and inner brim in a sewn hat, wearing one of the oven gloves designed to resist higher temperatures lets you press over a finger, and this is quicker and easier than arranging the seam over a pressing ham or roll. The best gloves for this are the ones knitted from nomex ( by dupont),
