Here's a new use for an old spongy-type mouse pad. I keep one next to my sewing machine to hold my sewing aids such as thread nipper, seam ripper, tweezers, pin holder, etc. It's just the right size and it's spongy texture holds things in place so that they don't slide or fall off the table.
