If the tension of your sewingmachine is not correct for the material you are sewing and you do not know if it is the uppper or under tension.You can check this by sewing with 2 different colours.It is important that you will use both the collours of the same thread brand.At this way it is easy to see if you have to adjust the upper or under tension.

The tension can also be checked by sewing a line on the bias and pulling the two end. If both threads break the tension is even.
